Look, when I screw up, I admit it. At least most of the time, but I’m still not taking the blame for that thing we agreed we would never talk about. It was like that when I got there.

The big bold headline on the website says “We Make Entertainment Stuff”.  And, I’m not dumb. After 70 or 80 of you ask me, “Kevin, what the hell does that mean?”, I figure I may not have been crystal clear about what it is we do.

We make live shows specializing in bringing artsy, new cinematic songs and scores to classic silent films. Our shows are “Rock Concert Meets Silent Film” and are for music nerds, movie geeks, comic book fan-persons, sci fi and fantasy lovers, anyone who has watched way too many cartoons and who likes a little heavy metal served up with their classical music.

Oh, and having a sense of humor is actually kinda essential.

Do you like Tchaikovsky, Danny Elfman, Frank Zappa, Wile E. Coyote, Primus, Dirty Projectors, Carmina Burana, Björk, Jonny Greenwood, The Magic Flute and Monty Python?  I do too.

We have an amazing group of singers and musicians that rotate in and out of our productions, and we’re coming up on 20 years of doing this!

And, we have three kinds of live shows!

#1) In our Vox Lumiere shows, we set up right under the movie screen and play the hell out of our original scores to silent movies like Metropolis, Peter Pan, The Phantom of the Opera, and The Hunchback of Notre Dame.

#2) We also have big, elaborate Interactive Theatrical Mashups. We take AR, animation, multimedia, costumes, lights and silent film and meld that with our singers, musicians and dancers, to put a fresh twist on your favorite stories, and let you touch, feel and live them.

#3) Our third type of shows are our Immersive Dome Experiences, like AliƧin, our newest production created for full dome theaters and planetariums. These productions have all the stuff we bring to our big-ass theatrical mashups, with exciting new original video and animation.

We’ve performed around the world, had a PBS Television Special and won a bunch of awards.
