You know what the number one rule of Wonderland is?

Many people think it’s “Never talk to the cat”. Which is an excellent suggestion, but it’s not a rule. And one you should really pay attention to because he’s a lying little… but I digress.

The number one rule in Wonderland is… “It’s none of your business”.

Yep, in Wonderland you do your thing, you don’t hurt anybody and you never, ever get up in someone else’s business. The Queen? Sure, she’s all “Off with their heads!”, but again, that’s just a suggestion. She’s really just blowing off steam.

Take tea. Which we do. Sometimes many times a day. Tea is an individual thing. No one can tell you what kind of tea to like. You like what you like. You can’t ”order” someone to like another kind of tea. You like hot tea? Drink hot tea. Iced? Earl Grey? One lump? Two? Go for it.

It’s none of anybody’s business, because that’s who you are. And that’s awesome.

It’s also none of anybody’s business who you have tea with. Hare? Mouse? Dodo? Hey, if you want to have a little “after-tea delight” with… whoever. That’s cool. Tea it up and go for it. It’s a beautiful thing.

And you certainly can’t tell anyone they can or can’t have tea. Or that they have to have tea if they don’t want to. It’s your tea and it’s your choice.

That’s really where the “wonder” part of Wonderland comes from you know. Everybody in the Hood really wonders how anyone could ever think they could tell someone else what kind of tea they can drink, or who they can drink it with or when they can or can’t drink it.

Makes you wonder, huh?
