You’re 10 times more likely to be bitten by a New Yorker than a shark 🦈

I’ve lived in New York quite a while now, and I didn’t bat an eye when I read this. If asked, I might have guessed twenty to one. I’m not saying New York is dangerous. I can think of a lot of places that are way scarier.

I just wanted to share cuz it seemed like good information to have when you’re making this year’s vacation plans.

And in New York, like everywhere, it’s always good to remember to keep your hands and feet away from the cage. And no feeding. Seriously, you’re just looking to get bit if you hold your hand out and there’s food in it.

And never look ’em right in the eyes.

I think that’s everything, except do *not* wait for the light to change before crossing the street. New Yorkers cannot wait for the light to change. It causes them physical pain. A driving New Yorker must honk their horn before the light changes, and a walking New Yorker must dart out in front of oncoming traffic before the light changes.

Trust me on this.

Don’t like reading? We got ‘cha covered. Just sit back, relax and let Victoria read our email to you.

Now, if you really want to avoid getting bit, come to our shows. No one has ever been bit at a Vox Lumiere Cinematic Concert, Immersive Theatrical Show, or 360° Fulldome Event.

At least no one I’m aware of, or that’s pressed charges.

Yep, Vox Lumiere productions are fun, cool, immersive events, with an eclectic mix of original rock, pop and Hollywood film scoring for film lovers and anyone who likes a little heavy metal served up with their classical music, AND… who doesn’t want to get bit.

It’s great for date night (the biting can come later), before or after dinner (again, the biting happens outside of the show), and it’s the perfect alternative to Shark Week reruns.

Yes, Vox Lumiere does not bite. You should come. And you can. Soon.

Like science fiction? Good. We’re cooking up something cool with METROPOLIS in 2025.

I know cooking implies there might be biting, but don’t go there. I can’t even believe I went there.

Vox Lumiere does not bite. METROPOLIS in 2025. Keep your hands and feet inside the ride at all times.

That’s it. I’m not gonna get all mushy.

See ya ~ Kevin

p.s. The website says a bite is usually harmless and may not even leave a mark. The socials are proof that biting after age three may be a sign of problems with self-control or expressing feelings.
